In a momentous occasion for our brewing team, we are thrilled to announce our double triumph at this year’s International Brewing & Cider Awards, hailed as the Oscars of the brewing world. The prestigious event, held in Manchester for the first time in its 138-year history, witnessed our brews seizing the spotlight among the finest entries from across the globe.
Judged meticulously by a distinguished panel of 38 experts over three days of rigorous blind-tasting, our creations stood out for their unparalleled quality and value. Best Bitter clinched the Bronze in the International Cask Ale category (class 1), while Fursty Ferret proudly secured the Bronze award in the International Small Pack Ale category (class 1).
Ruth Evans MBE, Director of the International Brewing & Cider Awards, said: “It’s been an honour to recognise and celebrate the extraordinary beers and ciders across the world at our new home here in Manchester.”
This year marked a significant milestone as the awards expanded to include a public festival alongside the judging event. The two-day festival provided an exclusive opportunity for enthusiasts to enjoy the diverse range of beverages entered into the competition.
With a commitment to fairness and excellence, the International Brewing & Cider Awards stand as a beacon of recognition for the world’s best brewers and cider-makers. The event’s unique judging process ensures a thorough evaluation of each entry, setting it apart as the pinnacle of achievement in the brewing and cider industry.
The celebration continues as all medal winners, including the Badger Brewery, will be officially recognised at an Awards Ceremony on 1st May 2024 at The Guildhall in London.
