Celebrating the Great Dorset Steam Fair.

This year’s Great Dorset Steam Fair was truly special. Not only was it their 50th anniversary, but we also sent them a load of Tangle Foot casks to make the iconic event even more legendary.

Served in the Real Ale Tent, the deceptively drinkable golden ale with its balanced flavours of crisp malt and subtle hop, was a huge hit among the fair’s thirsty visitors.

It’s called the ‘Great’ Dorset Steam Fair for a reason.

Spread out over 600 acres and attended by more than 200,000 people, it’s the largest event of its kind in Europe and an awe-inspiring sight. – There are multiple exhibition areas, a sea of marquees and several stages, each showcasing everything from live music and steam engine demos to horse displays.

Situated only five miles down the road from our independent, family owned brewery in Blandford, this year’s event took place on August Bank Holiday weekend, as it does every year. But this year was slightly different – visitors could soak up the unique festival atmosphere, while relaxing with a distinctive, characterful pint of Tangle Foot too.
