Three more great reasons to raise a glass of Badger beer.
We’ve won a few awards over the last 241 years, but every one still fills us with immense pride. Especially those as prestigious as World Beer Awards.
This year we picked up, not one, but three of these highly-coveted awards:
- The Hopping Hare – ‘best UK golden ale’.
- The Cranborne Poacher – UK gold in the ‘flavoured fruit & vegetable’ category.
- The Blandford Fly – UK silver in the ‘flavoured herb & spice’ category.
It goes to show, using the finest ingredients, pure Dorset water, taking inspiration from our beautiful Dorset countryside, and passionately crafting all our characterful beers, does pay off.

There are many award bodies for beer, but the World Beer Awards are certainly up there with the best of them.
It selects the very best beers from all over the globe, across nine taste categories. Each category is then divided up further to accommodate the many types of beers now available. The beers are sampled by specialist tasting panels, made up of international judges with extensive experience in the industry. All of which showcases how difficult it is to win one of these awards.
