Hand holding a bottle of Badger Hopping Hare on a woodland path

Really full flavoured for the ABV. Really enjoy the bitter malty taste too. Solid.

Bottle of Badger Portland Poster on table in pub garden, in front of someone sat on their phone, next to packet of crisps

A bright bronze coloured ale with an abundant head with a malty, caramel aroma. The digestive biscuit flavour from the malt blends fantastically with the delicate hop that just adds a bramble character to the beer. As a session ale this is very pleasant.

FAQs

Questions brewing? You'll find plenty of helpful answers in our FAQs.

We believe Portland Poster is suitable for vegetarians and vegans, as no animal-derived ingredients are intentionally used in the brewing process. However, we are not certified by a vegan society and do not routinely test to verify vegan status, so we cannot make an official vegan claim.

At present, we are unable to confirm whether the beer is gluten-free. As gluten is a regulated allergen, confirming a gluten-free claim requires laboratory testing of every batch. While we are exploring options to introduce this capability in the future, we cannot currently guarantee or validate the gluten content.

With its easy-going character and Dorset roots, our session ale pairs perfectly with hunters chicken. Expect honest, satisfying flavours that never miss the mark.

Our bottled ales are best enjoyed lightly chilled, around 10-14°C. Serving Portland Poster too cold can mask some of the flavours, while a slightly warmer temperature helps bring out its full character.

One of the newer faces in the Badger range, Portland Poster is brewed year-round and available to buy online.

We'd love to see Portland Poster on the bar too, but with limited cask space in our pubs, we can't pour every beer. Instead, we use our cask lines to showcase a range of Badger classics and seasonal favourites. You'll usually find Portland Poster chilled and ready to enjoy in bottle form in the fridge though!
