Another World Beer Awards Success

Badger Beers | World Beer Awards wins 2022 12th September 2022

We’re delighted to announce a new round of awards success… three winning medals at the World Beer Awards (WBA) 2022!

This year, we were recognised by the WBA judges for both our established ales and recent innovations.

First up was a UK Gold win in the Flavoured Beer, Fruit category for the aptly named Golden Glory (a fan favourite). Fruity, floral, and playful, our peachy and refreshing golden ale (4.5% ABV) recently made a comeback due to high demand. Grab an online exclusive 6 or 12 pack of 500ml bottles here.

Next was an equally impressive UK Silver award in the Flavoured Stout & Porter category for Milk Made. First launched in 2020, Milk Made is a 5.2% ABV stout with udderly delicious layers of chocolate, vanilla, and coconut.

Last but by no means least was a UK Bronze win in the Flavoured Beer, Herb & Spice category for one of our best-known beers – The Blandford Fly (5.2% ABV). A sweet and spicy golden ale with a refreshingly different ginger taste, offset with hints of sweet toffee. Available in a 6 or 12 pack of 500ml bottles here.

A little note from Giles Mountford, our Drinks Marketing Manager:

“We’re delighted with these latest accolades, which build on a series of awards for our beer range. We continue to develop new, contemporary, and innovative craft beers such as Milk Made, which complement our established strength as a brewer of fine traditional bottled and cask ales. Our brewing team has plenty more innovation in the pipeline, and so we’re looking forward to having to install an even bigger trophy cabinet in the brewery at Blandford St Mary in due course!”

Milk Made was one of three Badger Beers to win gold medals at the International Brewing Awards 2021 – the world’s oldest beer competition, held every two years.

To mark the achievement, Milk Made will be available in keg for the first time this autumn in our Hall & Woodhouse pubs, joined on the bar by fellow IBW gold medal winner Red Roaster on cask. Fursty Ferret, which won a silver medal, is a permanent ale in the Hall & Woodhouse estate.
