Introducing our new Outland Hazy IPA

We never stop exploring and seeking out new flavours for our beers, and just in time for summer, we’ve come up with a cracker.
Our new Outland Hazy IPA has been brewed to perfectly compliment long afternoons in the beer garden or at home with friends and some lightly charred BBQ food.
Light and hazy – like long summer days at Lulworth Cove. Soak up bold citrus and fruity tropical notes in this refreshingly sessionable pale ale, brewed with citra and amarilo hops. Light in colour, but deep in flavour, with an ABV of 4.2% – it’s a real thirst quencher and perfect for hot and hazy days.
What does IPA stand for?
Just in case you’re wondering what an IPA even is, let alone a hazy one, don’t fear because we’ve got your back. In a nutshell the original IPA, or to use the full title, India Pale Ale was invented by British sailors who on the long journey to India would add large amounts of hops to their beer barrels to act as a preservative. This had the effect of leaving the beer with a distinctive bitter and dry finish. Not for everyone, crafty brewers began to experiment and come up with different takes on this classic style.
Consequently, this new Outland Hazy IPA is a different beast altogether! As an East Coast IPA, the style originated in New England in the land of Bald Eagles and Freedom, the USA. Hazy is one of the most popular contemporary styles, often unfiltered to leave in the haze and with low bitterness and fruity undertones for a satisfyingly sessionable beer.
