Malty and full-bodied

with moreish hoppy notes

Our Fursty Ferret amber ale takes its name from a real ferret with a taste for full-bodied, biscuity beer and a mischievous reputation.

‘Little thief’ by (Latin) name and opportunistic by nature, his memory lives on in the Gribble Inn. And who can blame him?

With crisp hop notes from Celeia and Centennial hops, and a moreish-ly malty backbone of Ale and Crystal malt — it's on our most wanted list.

FAQs

Questions brewing? You'll find plenty of helpful answers in our FAQs.

We believe Fursty Ferret is suitable for vegetarians and vegans, as no animal-derived ingredients are intentionally used in the brewing process. However, we are not certified by a vegan society and do not routinely test to verify vegan status, so we cannot make an official vegan claim.

At present, we are unable to confirm whether the beer is gluten-free. As gluten is a regulated allergen, confirming a gluten-free claim requires laboratory testing of every batch. While we are exploring options to introduce this capability in the future, we cannot currently guarantee or validate the gluten content.

The rich malt character of this amber ale pairs beautifully with honey roast ham - the sort of irresistible combination that's hard not to go back for another taste.

Our ales are best enjoyed lightly chilled, around 10-14°C. Serving Fursty Ferret too cold can mask some of the flavours, while a slightly warmer temperature helps bring out its full character.

Available year-round, Fursty Ferret cans can be exclusively purchased online.

You're in luck! Fursty Ferret is available on cask in most Hall & Woodhouse pubs. Availability can vary from pub to pub, so it's always worth checking with your local before you visit.
