We’re thrilled to announce that the Badger Brewery has achieved remarkable success at the World Beer Awards 2024, bringing home an impressive eight medals for both our Badger Premium Bottled Ales (PBAs) and our innovative craft beer brand, Outland, which we proudly introduced just last year.
Leading the accolades, our Outland Ginger Pale Ale earned a Gold medal and the distinguished title of Country Winner in the Flavoured Beer category. We’re equally proud of Badger’s Blandford Fly and Cranborne Poacher, which secured Silver medals in the same category.
Meanwhile, the Outland West Coast IPA snapped up Bronze in the IPA category for its punchy citrus flavours and powerful hop character, while Outland Milk Stout wowed its way to Silver in the Stout & Porter category. To finish things off, our beloved Badger Fursty Ferret won Bronze in the Pale Beer category and Master Stoat Coffee Stout also earned a Flavoured Beer Bronze.
The World Beer Awards are a global celebration of brewing excellence, where expert judges evaluate beers from around the world across 10 distinct categories, bestowing Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Country Winner awards, culminating in the prestigious World’s Best accolade.
This recognition at the World Beer Awards follows our earlier success at the Great Taste Awards, where Fursty Ferret earned a 2-star award and Cranborne Poacher received a 1-star medal. The Great Taste Awards, known as the world’s largest food and drink accreditation scheme, are judged by a panel of over 500 chefs, buyers, food writers, and retailers.
Toby Heasman, our Head Brewer, shared his excitement: “Winning awards is always a cause for celebration at Badger. It’s particularly rewarding to see our Outland Ginger Pale recognised as a Country Winner so soon after launching the Outland range just 18 months ago. These awards affirm our decision to expand into the craft beer sector, complementing our traditional PBAs and cask ales.”
